The Georgetown Heckler

The Georgetown Heckler is a satirical student-run publication unaffiliated with the University.

History

The Heckler was founded by Justin Droms (CAS '03) as the Georgetown Lampoon in 20031. By 2007, when university criticism led the club to modify a satirical New Student Guide, it had rebranded as The Heckler2. Until approximately 2015, when The Heckler saw organizational changes and a surge in applications under new leadership, it had a fairly minimal profile on campus3.

Activities

The Heckler publishes satirical articles online. While it originated as a print publication, the Heckler no longer publishes print issues. Heckler writers write under various pseudonyms, such as Squiggle Tha Kid and Bjorn Melvinplank4.
