Georgetown University Running Club

Georgetown University Running Club is a co-ed running club that organizes group runs and competes in various meets.

History

Running Club was established in 20071. Membership is open to all Georgetown students and the club does not require previous running experience2

Activities

Running Club organizes group runs and workouts for members each week. They also compete in various meets throughout the year, including the local DC Invitational3. The club offers various training resources for members looking to work out beyond the club's group runs4.

Running Club participates in various service opportunities, including Back on my Feet and Relay For Life5. They first partnered with Back on my Feet, which "works to combat homelessness through running", in 20116. Relay For Life is an annual fundraising event for the American Cancer Society7. The club has also partnered with Georgetown's Asian American Student Association to raise funds for Asian American youth organizations8.
