Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 ā€“ August 2, 1922) was a teacher of the deaf, scientist, inventor who is credited with inventing and patenting the first practical telephone, and a member of the original faculty of Georgetown University's Dental School.

Guy Harris White, Dā€™1902 (April 9, 1879 ā€“ February 17, 1969) was a dentist who practiced in Washington, D.C. He was also a left-handed pitcher for the Chicago White Stockings.
